MASON SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITION 2025
Eligibility:
Currently enrolled high school students residing in Warren County for the 2024-25 school year are eligible to apply.
Private lesson students of MSO members who play an average of two or more concerts per calendar year may also apply, regardless of where they reside.
Four Categories:
Strings - Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass, Harp, Guitar
Brass/Woodwind
Keyboard - Piano
Vocal - Operatic or Oratorio Aria
Timeline:
Applications will be accepted starting January 15th, 2025.
SUBMISSIONS DEADLINE: February 1, 2025
Finalists will be alerted via email by February 15th, 2025
Finals will be held in person in Mason on March 8, 2025. The location will TBD in Mason, Ohio
The Overall Winner will perform with the Mason Symphony Orchestra on April 26th, 2025, at 7:30 pm.
Award Prizes:
Overall Winner of the Stuart Horrell Memorial Scholarship - $500 and a solo performance with the MSO on April 26th, 2025.
Finalist in each category - $150
